Information on playing and crafting Multiple Drone Didgeridoos

http://www.wetdidgeridoo.com/WilliamThoren/Playing_Technique.html

This site was created to publicly provide all of the information I have developed on playing and building Multiple Drone and Drop Octave didgeridoos. The techniques developed in 2008 had been evolving so fast that I never felt ready to release the information surrounding it’s development because I didn’t feel it was ready. There was always another breakthrough around the corner that I felt I had to master before exposing it. I quickly saw that these techniques will never stop evolving and to bring it into the public would allow the technique to be developed throughout the community much faster than I could ever develop it by myself.  I would like to encourage all contemporary didgeridoo players to take on this development with me and share any breakthroughs they discover with the community. In the future I will post lessons and articles from other didgeridoo “pioneers” who take on and discover more around crafting and playing these new techniques. In the meantime I encourage any questions or requests for information and lessons that YOU think should be posted on this website. I will keep updating the site as new techniques are developed.

Further I have chosen to expand the site to include lessons taught by master didgeridoos players, friends that I have learned from throughout the years and any new masters I meet that have something powerful to share. These lessons will include innovative techniques that they have developed as well as some of the basic building blocks of playing didgeridoo. In combination with these new teachers I will try to provide all of the basics as well as the advanced techniques. By sharing all of our best knowledge and technique to anyone hungry for it, we have the opportunity to push the skill level baseline of didgeridoo players around the world to a new height. This will open up new realms of playing styles and techniques that cannot currently be imagined! So far we have filmed lessons with Ondrej Smeykal, William Barton and Jake Duncan and plan on making many more..

Feedback is greatly Appreciated!

The more feedback I get, the

more videos I will make and

the better they will be. Let me

Know if you are able to achieve

the Drop Octave
